Dremel Flying Fan

Dremel Flying Fan

The idea behind the Dremel Devil on thingiverse, specifically at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:266035, caught my eye instantly. I was particularly interested in creating a more streamlined model for flight and improving the overall launch mechanism. I decided to design a propeller that would be effortlessly mounted to 30mm shafts without requiring any additional force from the Dremel itself. When ready to take off, simply flipping on the drill starts the propeller's movement. And when it's time to free the propeller for landing or stowage, a simple switch off is all that's required. The printing process involved using 100% PLA with an infill and no support needed for my part. ABS should work similarly well in its place.
