Originally, I purchased a Dremel drill stand to help with PCB hole-drilling due to its lack of built-in lighting. Frustrated by the difficulty in seeing my work without an additional lamp, I designed this attachment to resolve the issue. The accessory simply slips over the back rod and can be secured using a large bolt through a drilled hole. For aesthetics, it resembles the Green Lantern ring symbol, but its functionality is what counts. To install, drill a large hole in the front for the bolt and a smaller one on the sides for attaching desired accessories. To illuminate my work area, I attached a 4 AA battery pack, a 5V regulator connected to an old USB port, and a USB keyboard light with a flexible neck. This setup allows me to position the light exactly where needed for optimal visibility while working in the dark.
