I took a general shape of this tool grinder, modified it to fit perfectly into a threaded base I had designed for another project. The result works flawlessly with the stone grinding wheel that fits snugly inside. Printing the design open end up without any supports proved to be the best approach. I rounded the opening for the claw on both the inner and outer edges to ensure a smooth finish. To achieve optimal results, print at medium or fine settings. My own model was made in PLA. The recommended printing parameters include a layer height of 0.1-0.2 mm and an infill density of 20%.
