Dremel Compatible Drill Press: US edition
thingiverse
Eddy Emck's (3Deddy) drill press design is quite brilliant but I have one of those battery operated dremels not the corded kind and I live in the US where it's annoying to source metric pipe. To get around this I changed the pipe from 22mm to 1inch diameter and moved all bearing holes accordingly. As a bonus, this makes the design compatible with the official dremel drill press bases. I noticed a lot of slop in the bearing holes (I had to print vase mode bushings to fix the slop in mine !) so I tightened these tolerances considerably. The main holder part that holds the tube the bearings roll against was a pain to print vertically on common printers so I changed it to two pieces with an alignment rectangular peg to be solvent glued after printing. The top cap I added an M3 screw hole so it can be secured with that if you like. Left "as an exercise for the reader" is adding some form elastic to the model so it springs back to the top automatically.
