Dremel 3D45 Spool Holder
thingiverse
This is a 3D-printable spool holder for the Dremel 45 printer. It enables the printer to hold Hatchbox filament (never tested but expected to work with other types) that exceeds the default Dremel spool holder capacity. Instructions: 1. Print FilamentAdapterHolder.stl with high infill (30% is sufficient), high perimeters, and no supports. 2. Print FilamentAdapterPin.stl with low infill and supports. Rotate it so the flat part faces down on the bed. This pin is designed to hold the filament drum firmly in place while minimizing drag during feeding. 3. Print FilamentAdapterGuard.stl with a minimal infill and no supports. This guard fits into the hole where you'll feed the filament through, preventing it from cutting through the printer's plastic. You may need to shrink it by a few percent or trim off the edges to get a snug fit. 4. Insert the holder into the base spool holder that comes with the printer, rotate it in place, and secure the support. 5. Place the filament guard into the upper square hole designed for the lid lock. 6. Add the Hatchbox spool so it feeds clockwise into the filament guard hole, then down into the feeder tube. 7. Insert the filament pin to secure the filament spool in its place.
