The Dremel 3D45 boasts an impressive carbon filter integrated into its exhaust fan, ensuring a healthier printing experience. The printer's back features four screws that don't align with the fan's pattern, sparking curiosity - they're actually designed for use as an exhaust hose adapter. This clever adapter kit leverages these screws to mount a flange (part A) securely onto the printer's back. Part B attaches seamlessly to a 4" flexible dryer hose and twist locks onto part A's flange with ease. Meanwhile, part C adapts to the other end of the dryer hose, providing an additional airflow option by connecting to an 80mm fan if needed. Although the Dremel 3D45 comes equipped with a carbon filter for fumes and VOCs, this versatile hose kit allows you to exhaust remaining particles out a window. This feature proves particularly useful when working with 3rd party filaments like ABS or when taking extra precautions against indoor printing exhaust. Only supports are required for parts A and B. To secure the fan to part C, six sheet metal screws are used - these same screws can also be employed to attach part C to a thin panel that fits snugly into a window (with or without the fan). To complete the installation, zip ties are used to keep the hose ends securely in place.
