The 3D40 relies exclusively on magnetic latches, except for the filament. This setup is further compromised by the fact that these latches are remarkably easy to snap off.\r\n\r\nThis modification swaps out the existing latches on the filament door with a magnetic catch.\r\n\r\nI opted for Hettich's "Magnetic Catch M 71/GP 1 40 N", which boasts an impressive 4kg holding force. This product should be readily available in most hardware stores.
