Drela AG25 Airfoil Micro Drone Propeller (33.83g thrust @3V)
thingiverse
The propeller was designed and developed by utilizing the **Drela AG25** airfoil as a primary source of inspiration. All experimental testing was conducted on the **Micro Drone Propeller Thrust Tester**, which can be viewed below. A part was printed at a slow speed using a **0.2 nozzle** with a layer height of 0.04mm. After printing, the propeller was cleaned with an **X-ACTO Knife** to remove any excess material. Next, I proceeded to finish the propeller by sanding it down with a small piece of **500 grit sandpaper**. The following measurements were taken for various voltage presets: - A voltage of 1.5V resulted in a weight of 12.34 grams - A voltage of 2V produced a weight of 21.25 grams - A voltage of 2.5V yielded a weight of 28.33 grams - A voltage of 3V resulted in a weight of 33.83 grams The downloadable files include all the images taken during testing, along with six text files containing airfoil coordinates used in the build, printable STL files, and SLDPRT files. If you wish to modify this propeller, it is recommended that you obtain a few **8520 coreless motors**. Use the provided SLDPRT files if you need to make adjustments to the model to suit your specific requirements. Note: The airfoil was plotted using the matplotlib library for python.
