Drela AG24 Airfoil Micro Drone Propeller (34.74g thrust @ 3V)
thingiverse
This propeller was designed and inspired by utilizing the Drela AG24 airfoil. Testing was conducted using the Micro Drone Propeller Thrust Tester (test results are provided below). The part was printed at a slow speed with the assistance of a 0.2 nozzle at 0.04mm layer height. The print was then cleaned and deburred with the aid of a Precision Knife. Next, I proceeded to sand it using a piece of 400 grit sandpaper. Here are the thrust readings for several voltage values (also visible in the pictures taken): - 1.5V yields 14.55 grams - 2V produces 21.96 grams - 2.5V generates 28.9 grams - 3V results in 34.74 grams The files included contain all relevant pictures from the test, along with six text files that feature all airfoil coordinates used in the build, STL files, and SLDPRT files. If you wish to have some fun with this propeller, you will need to obtain a collection of 8520 coreless motors. You should use the SLDPRT extension files if you desire to adapt the propeller model to suit your specific needs. Note: The airfoil was plotted using the matplotlib library for python.
