This micro drone propeller was designed with precision using the Drela AG12 airfoil coordinates. It underwent rigorous testing on the Drone Propeller Thrust Tester, yielding impressive results as shown below. To bring this design to life, I printed it with a slow and deliberate approach, employing a 0.2 nozzle at 0.04 height per layer for optimal results. A Precision Knife proved invaluable in cleaning up any imperfections. Next, I used a 400 grit sandpaper to meticulously finish the propeller, ensuring a smooth surface. The thrust readings for the four selected voltage values are as follows: - 1.5V yields an impressive 11.45 grams - 2V generates a respectable 21.24 grams - 2.5V produces an even stronger thrust of 27.96 grams - 3V pushes the limits, delivering a remarkable 32.47 grams The accompanying files include all relevant images from the test, along with six text files containing airfoil coordinates, STL files, and SLDPRT files. If you decide to replicate this propeller, I recommend acquiring a set of 8520 coreless motors. For those who want to customize or modify the design, the SLDPRT files are available for your use. Note: The airfoil was plotted using the matplotlib library in Python.
