Dreamer Modifications for Hatchbox Spool

A pivotal upgrade, spool insert and spool axle modification permits the utilization of larger Hatchbox filament spools inside the FlashForge Dreamer. Left and right standoffs serve as mirrored duplicates. Other spool insert designs may be employed for various filament spools. Confirmed compatibility with all clearances, fully functional on 4 Dreamers utilizing Hatchbox 1kg, 1.75mm filament. Instructions: 1. Build two inserts, one left standoff and one right standoff 2. Power sand the two ears of each stock spool axle to accommodate Hatchbox spools 3. Place the Dreamer upside down and detach the bottom cover (6 screws) 4. Remove the stock spool holders from the instrument 5. Insert four nuts into the hexagon recesses in the standoffs, some pressure may be necessary 6. Attach the stock spool holders to the standoffs: align the pins and tighten the screws 7. Secure the standoffs to the instrument using extra screws and nuts provided with the Dreamer 8. Install the bottom cover and return the printer to its upright position 9. Install Hatchbox spools with modified axles and verify functionality Print Settings: Rafts: No Raft Support Required No No Standard Resolution (0.2mm or higher recommended) 100% Solid Fills (50% infill rate for maximum print strength) The insert was designed to be scaled up in the slicer.
