This is a slightly shorter version of extensions that come with Dreamcatcher Company's Lightstick/staff. Note that the locking mechanism would work if you make the thread 1.5mm longer. I just made it shorter because locking using friction was more stable and better overall. Using a 3 layer wall, 6 top/bottom layers and no infill, the extension came out sturdy, however it may be worth adding infill to strengthen the male thread.
