I'm a fan of the SEGA's IP back in 90's: Virtual-On Cyber Troopers. And this is an extra button panel for modernizing old Dreamcast console's twin-stick into PS4 compatible, and later on.==========[Mandarin version]https://m.gamer.com.tw/forum/C.php?bsn=154&page=&snA=100After found out there's a Virtual-On series collection released on PS4, along with many active players online, I started gathering all the gears needed to enjoy the game. Link to the collection:https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP0177-CUSA16156_00-VIRTUALONMP00000The featured twin-stick, which made the series distinguished to other arcade machines from the start, is No.1 on my collecting list. After some history digging and surveying, I found the Dreamcast's twin-stick (model No. HKT-7500), for the legendary console by SEGA back in '90s, is the best solution for modding into a PS4 / PS5 / PC compatible one, in terms of costs and efforts needed. This twin-stick can be easily modded by exchanging the internal PCB, and has only one defect: the yellow spring sleeves is tend to break in short time, thus spare parts will be required for long term playing. HKT-7500 also has a major advantage over newer solutions, like Hori's or Tanita's: it has much smaller footprint on desktop, made it more suitable to be used in tight space. In my estimation, a complete DC twin-stick assembly, adding this extra button panel on, should costs lower than $200, if you have a qualified 3D printer. Lower than $150 if you have both a qualified printer and a DC HKT-7500. Even lower, if you don't need online audio capability, than $130.Here's the major description to the model:1. Max dimension of parts is 180x120x96mm. Suggested print setting is 3 layers of wall, 20% fill, 0.3mm layer thickness. You may set the layer thickness finer, if printing time is not an issue.2. This button panel provides max 4 more extra buttons for DC's TS, which are required to access menus in PS4. (these are PS / Option / Share / and touch panel button)3. This model is supposed to work with Brook's "PS4+ Audio Fighting Board", for its USB-B / audio jack board. You may use other boards as well, once they do fit inside the twin-stick's housing.https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/09922855/There's a cheaper model without audio function, costs $20~30 lower, but you have to do all the soldering, or contact crimping/connector making, by yourself however. I am using this board too.https://www.brookaccessory.co...
