Dreamcast Controller connector clip (smaller remix)
thingiverse
The Dreamcast controller wires are remarkably short. They offer extension cables, yet users soon discover that these cables and the controller cable do not hold together well, frequently coming apart while gaming. Pepsi1961 resolved this issue with a clip design. I made some alterations to Pepsi1961's original clip design. When printing the original version using PETG, it was challenging to force the wire connectors into place without causing damage to the wires. This could be an issue specific to my printer, but I decided to create a revised version requiring less material, giving it increased flexibility while reducing print time and material usage. I also tightened up several areas for a more precise fit. **Print Settings** The modified clip was printed with PETG at 0.2 layer height, walls 4 layers thick, and 15% infill, resulting in a very strong structure. It has not been tested with PLA or other materials. **Licensing** This design is yours to use as you see fit, provided it does not infringe on the original license terms. No need to credit me, but please acknowledge Pepsi1961 for his innovative original design. *Note:* I have included the Fusion 360 file if you wish to make your own adjustments. Hopefully, this will be of assistance.
