Dreadful Walking Sarcophagus Builder: Alpha 2 Release The files in this builder have all the parts necessary to build a complete Dreadful Walking Sarcophagus, though many options are not included as this is still very much a work in progress. The parts are, for the most part, intended to be compatible with the official Standard and Venerable walking sarcophagus kits (though you need to ensure you print the proper set of parts from the builder). The legs and arms will fit on the official models, and the individual panels and exhaust packs that are used to build the torso will also fit on the official models. These files are very much intended to be printed separately and then assembled like a traditional model at this point. I have included files for both the basic and venerable patterns that are combined STLs that you only need to print one of each in addition to an exhaust pack of your choice to complete a torso. If you print individual parts you will need the following components from the same pattern to make a full torso: * Left Panel (Same panel for both patterns) * Right Panel (Same Panel for both patterns) * Bottom Panel * Front Panel (and a faceplate for the basic dreadnought) * Top Panel Some folders have the suffix "(Posable)" on them, meaning that the components in them have joints that are meant to be popped together during assembly, which will retain their place and help you pose the part before you glue them. Note that they are not toy quality joints and will wear out without much use, you should find a pose you like and glue them in place before painting. Files maked with "(mirror)" at the end of the file name will need to be mirrored if you want to print a part for the opposite side of the model. Files marked with "(Separate Shells)" at the end have not been merged into a single body. This is mostly for the hands. If you want to open them up in an STL editor of your choice and pose them manually, go nuts. While I do have some wargear options already finished, Cornivius has an excellent set of Mortis weapons that should work just fine with this kit which can be found on his designs page: https://cults3d.com/en/users/Cornivius/creations Because the parts are meant to fit together like a traditional parts kit, the accuracy of your printer is going to matter unless you want to spend a lot of time post processing during assembly. Check out 3DPrintFarm's video on dialing in the exposure times for resin expansion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9GwPEJ8Lq8. This is seriously one of the most useful videos I've seen for 3d printing, and there's a link to a test matrix file in the description of it. If you want to test a part from this kit to see if things will fit before you commit, print out the top panel without the drain plug and the drain plug, then ensure they fit together nicely after printing. Currently I have not printed out the basic pattern of dreadnought parts to test their compatiblity, but I'll continue to test these parts and update their designs. If you do print these and run into any issues during assembly, please let me know and I'll incorporate your feedback. Finally, thanks for reading all this, and I'd love to see any makes of dreadnoughts that get printed.
