The DRE20 V2 expertly transforms the BOSS – RE-20 Space Echo Twin Pedal into a compact Eurorack module. Additional Parts Are Required: 7 pieces of 3.5 mm Eurorack Jacks PJ301CM Stereo are needed, available at https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/3-5mm-jacks/. Wire to connect the jacks with the PCB can be found at https://www.rapidonline.com/catalogue/search?Query=Wire%207%2F0.2. Two voltage-controlled switches will also be necessary. Assembly Instructions: Step 1: Disassemble the Boss RE-20 Space Echo, carefully removing the glued metal sticker in the center of the device. Disconnect the two ribbon cables of the PCBs to allow for trimming to fit into the Eurorack. Step 2: Cut small strips from the RE-20 front PCB with a hand saw to accommodate later installation into the Eurorack. Step 3: Unsolder all jacks and solder cables to connect the Eurorack jacks to the PCB. Securely fasten the spacers using existing screws from the Boss RE-20 on the back of the front PCB. Step 4: Combine the Boss RE-20 aluminium panel with a 3D printed front panel using two of the Boss RE-20 aluminium panel screws. Widen the holes for the screw on top of the aluminium panels using a drilling machine until alignment is achieved with the threads of the Eurorack. Step 5: Align the 3D printed buttons on the two switches of the RE-20 PCB and secure with four existing screws from the Boss RE-20 on the back of the 3D printed front panel. Step 6: Connect the cables between the two PCBs, reattach the ribbon cables, and screw the PCB onto spacers in place.
