Drawers - Spiral printed
thingiverse
This is a small set of drawers I designed as an experiment in spiral/vase printing. Each of the drawers has about 50 x 80 x 35mm of useful storage space available. The drawers are suitable for lightweight items like electronic components, but may not be rigid enough to store heavy objects such as nails and other hardware. The case is designed to fit on a 120 x 120 x 100mm printing bed. The drawers are a loose fit in the case, so the model can be scaled up or down to some extent. If you're using different settings than mine, check the fit of the first drawer before printing the rest, and adjust the scale as needed. Print Settings: Printer: Cocoon Create Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Notes: I printed both the case and drawers using the spiral/vase printing function in my slicer. My printer has a 0.4mm extruder, but I set the shell thickness to 0.8mm so that it would print thicker lines. You can only print one drawer at a time using spiral printing. The models have not been hollowed out yet, so they may not be suitable for other printing methods. The total weight of the case and four drawers was about 135 grams. The case used approximately 75 grams of plastic, and each of the drawers used around 15 grams of plastic.
