Drawers for small components
cults3d
I required some compartments for organizing resistors, capacitors and other small parts. I wanted the resistor compartments to have cut-outs on the dividers so that it's easier to retrieve the resistors using large fingers, and I desired a lot of customizability in the compartment divider organization. You can also customize the dimensions extensively. The design is optimized for minimal plastic usage, hence the grid walls for the main chest and the thin dividers in the compartments. All print with no support at 0.3mm layers. Since all the walls by default are thin, infill percentage makes little difference. I printed in PLA. The design utilizes (and bundles) my Bezier library, which is particularly convenient for designing symmetrical things (in this case, the cut-outs on long walls). Update: Outer walls (including floor) can be thicker than inner walls. The defaults in the SCAD file are like that now, making it possible to print compartments with even less plastic. Also, by default the handle has no floor now.
