Drawer Runner

Drawer Runner

thingiverse

I'm replacing broken drawer runners from my vintage 1980's kitchen drawers that got destroyed by my bad habit of using them as makeshift shelves. The originals were made from nylon and held together with staples, which proved to be a fragile solution. I've learned that treating my drawers roughly comes at a cost - literally. To create more durable replacements, I designed these new runners out of ABS plastic at 50% infill density. This sturdier material should withstand my careless storage habits for a longer time. If they do break, however, I'll simply reprint them in nylon to get back to square one. The part was modeled using OnShape's online CAD tool.
