Drawer Mouse Pad
thingiverse
This is a mouse pad designed to fit snugly over the side drawer of a desk. Measuring 11.75" x 9.2", it's a substantial design that requires gluing four pieces together. The mounting/locking brackets built into the design serve as glue points, ensuring a secure hold. The front lip of the pad is carefully designed to sit atop the drawer, providing a comfortable surface for your mouse. This versatile design can be scaled up or down to fit any drawer size. I've included my CAD file for those who prefer working with digital designs. As this is my first home-built project, I'm aware of areas for improvement and will likely upload updated files in the future to minimize filament usage. Printer Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: Printed with PETG at 20% infill, but you can probably reduce it by half due to the plastic's strength. It's up to your discretion. Post-Printing: A few things I wish I'd thought of before printing. When gluing together the pieces, join A & B, then C & D. Finally, connect AB & CD. Glueing them individually won't work as intended due to the center locking mechanism and braces. I recommend using clamps during gluing for a solid form and lightly sanding the finished product for a smooth finish. Half-built mouse pad Half-built on drawer
