Drawer Glide Backplate
thingiverse
Human: Had to search far and wide for a replacement glide backplate to match my old bathroom drawers at the local hardware store, but ended up designing and 3D printing one myself! This plate can be easily mounted either horizontally or vertically as needed. I designed it in SolidWorks using precise measurements - each cross is exactly 25.4mm (1.0") long, while each branch of the cross measures 11.35mm (0.445") wide. Three slots on each backplate side allow for a screw or staple to be used for secure attachment. To prevent future breakage, I thickened the plate from 3.3mm to 5mm as that was the thickness of my original broken backplate. I also added a 2 degree taper for effortless glider attachment. Pictures include a photo of my cracked old backplate, a newly printed replacement, and the installed drawer glider with backplate.
