Drawer Catch
thingiverse
When we had our first child we fitted drawer catches like the "original" image to our kitchen drawers. Over time some have broken off and we were in need of replacements. As I'm new to CAD and 3d-printing I thought it would be a fun and educational excercise to see if I could make replacement parts that would allow me to utilize the existing holes in our drawers. To minimize the need for support material i decided to make the catch in two parts to be joined after printing. When the catch is screwed in place the base plate (part 1_2) will hold the catch itself (part 1_1) in place but for added support you can add a couple of drops of super glue to part 1_1 as shown in the image. Pre drill and use the slotted holes to get a good position when fitting the catch to your drawer or cupboard.
