Uses a IKEA Sekond Cord Set. Remove stock threaded washer and strain relief. Printed parts will replace. If using PLA make sure only to use LED bulbs. Consider something like PC if using a bulb that outputs more heat. Print instructionsShade: Print the shade itself with a 0.6 nozzle in spiral (vase) mode with no bottom layers (gives open end for socket later). You can print in a 0.4 nozzle, but the 0.6 makes it much more sturdy. Threaded insert: Print thread insert in the same material as the shade ideally switching to a .4 nozzle. 100% infill, 0.1 mm layer Pendant Top Wood: 0.4 nozzle, 0.1mm layer height 15% infill. I did mine in wood filament in order to do a faux wood grain, but could be any colour or material. Connector Ring: This needs to be PETG or a stiff flexible due to the need of the prongs to flex. I printed mine 0.4 nozzle, 100% infill, 0.1 layer with supports for the prongs only. Flex would probably be better though. Threaded insert has to be glued in place by inserting in the wide end of the shade and aligning the contours of the shade and the insert flush to the small opening. Pendant top finished by sanding with 100 grit, followed by 200 grit sandpaper. Successive layers of walnut stain were applied and smeared off with paper towel to give a faux grain structure. connector ring in glued in place once finishing is done on pendant top. Final Assembly: Pendant top replaces the stock IKEA sekond strain relief on the cord set. Also remove stock threaded washer. Thread Shade with onto the socket until shade meets pendant top.
