Drakon Geared Extruder With Filament Out Sensor
thingiverse
I've set up my SeeMeCNC Rostock Max V2 for five-color printing with a Diamond hotend, bringing a whole new level of precision to my workflow. When it came time to choose an extruder, I knew exactly what I wanted - the Drakon Geared Extruder. I made some modifications to hold an endstop switch from Amazon, which gave me the perfect setup for seamless printing. The idea for this switch came from dbfrompw's innovative 2020 Filament-Out Sensor Mount on Thingiverse. To help others replicate my design, I've included a Solidworks file and STL of the modified part - the rest of the extruder remains unchanged since I downloaded it near the end of 2017 from their GitHub.
