Recreated from 2562 drone images captured by a Mavic 2 Pro, sampled from video, with approximately 1000 nadir and 1500 oblique images taken in early 2019. Processed in Agisoft Metashape in July 2020, the massive decimation and trimming of mesh was done to fit within the 50MB limit, although a much higher poly version was created. All necessary permissions, notifications, method statements, and risk assessments were meticulously implemented. Drake's Island is a 6.5-acre island situated in Plymouth Sound off Plymouth, Devon, UK. Originally known as St Michael's Island, Drake's Island boasts a rich and varied history, having played an integral part in Plymouth's sea defences since the 16th Century. The island has served multiple purposes over time, including prison, refuge, religious centre, and most recently, an adventure training facility. Remaining untouched for the last 30 years, the island is now under new ownership, with plans to build upon the previous owners' proposed Hotel and Spa as well as a heritage centre.
