My dishwasher drain pump wouldn't function because the impeller had cracked due to some ceramic debris. The retailer only sold the entire pump assembly, so I salvaged the remaining part and reengineered the impeller. Accessing your water drain pump is surprisingly straightforward. A helpful tutorial can be found at this YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB3dZEHWrYc When working with hot water, keep in mind that PLA won't hold up well; ABS is a better choice for this project.
