Drain camera exploration pod

Drain camera exploration pod

pinshape

Summary This is a Pod I designed to investigate a suspected broken drain. I created this attachment to connect a waterproof 7mm camera with built-in illumination to the end of a cable access kit via a USB endoscope camera. The camera, which I purchased on eBay for around £10, has a 5-meter cable and connects to my Android phone using a micro-USB connector. The camera is installed by inserting the camera cable into the slot in the side and sliding the camera and cable into the Pod. (See picture) To secure the camera, you can use either a cable tie or insulating tape on the cable to attach it to the cable access kit rods. The cable access kit has screw connectors with a thread diameter of approximately 3.7mm and a body diameter of 6.3mm. This screws well into the Pod as well as a portion of the brass body, which should prevent the threads from breaking off if the Pod is forced around a bend. Print on a raft. Print in the orientation provided. Use walls with a thickness of 1.2mm (three shells).
