Drain camera exploration pod

Drain camera exploration pod

myminifactory

I made a Pod to explore a suspected broken drain, and I attached it to a cable access kit with a usb endoscope camera. The waterproof 7mm camera has built-in illumination, which I got for about $15 on eBay along with a 5m cable. It connects directly to my android phone via a micro usb connector. The camera is installed by laying the cable into the slot and sliding it into the pod. (See picture) To secure it, you can use either a zip tie or insulating tape on the cable to attach it to the rods of the cable access kit. The cable access kit has screw connectors with a 3.7mm thread and a 6.3mm body, which screws well into the pod and also fits part of the brass body. This should prevent the threads from snapping if the Pod is forced around a bend. Print on a raft. Print in the orientation shown. Walls are 1.2mm (3 shells).
