Dragonhead drinkcoaster

A dragon is a large, serpent-like legendary creature that appears in the folklore of many cultures around the world. Beliefs about dragons vary drastically by region, but dragons in western cultures since the High Middle Ages have often been depicted as winged, horned, four-legged, and capable of breathing fire. Dragons in eastern cultures are usually depicted as wingless, four-legged, serpentine creatures with above-average intelligence. I created a model of a dragon using my 3D printer. The model is a standard size coaster that fits perfectly in my coaster holder. I printed the model using Ultimaker white PLA filament and customized it to fit my needs. To create this model, I followed these design steps: First, I picked a logo from my browser and converted it into an SVG file in Inkscape. Then, I opened the SVG file in Blender and transformed it into a 3D object. Next, I repaired the file using Meshmixer's 'Inspector' button under the 'Analysis' tab. After repairing the file, I added a drink coaster to the model using 123D Design. I also merged the two models together after scaling them in Meshmixer. To create the negative model, I used 123Design to subtract the file from a drink coaster and saved it as an STL file. Finally, I previewed the model in my slicer before printing it. The preview looked great with perfect lines, so I could print it without any issues.
