I crafted some dragon glass daggers as party favors for a Game of Thrones watch party. The maesters refer to 'obsidian' but I'm here to tell you it's actually PLA, folks. Printing the blank vertically is quite straightforward - the support wings come off effortlessly. Next, I used my Dremel to shape the blade and achieve the knapped effect, then sanded with a few grits to smooth out any imperfections, applied polyurethane four times, wrapped them up and voila!
