The initial idea, dating back to April 2002, was to create a kinematic simulation of flapping wing concept that would allow for precise control over pitching and flapping angles in a strictly phase-coupled mechanism, designed to replicate the motion of a dragonfly's pair of wings. Despite its virtual prototype status, it has remained confined to visualization purposes only, without actual construction.
