dragonfly civilian low profile turret
thingiverse
Ultra low profile chin turret for the 1983 dragonfly copter. unfinished. I do not recall how good the fit is. I use these to close dragonflies who lost their chin turrets. Wild Bill does not like drafty cold air up his trousers. I was supposed to continue integrating the protruding devices onto it but never got there. As of right now this chin turret is fully approved in a state that shall remain nameless. choosing to share this just in case it can be of use. Let me know ! Will revisit it someday The design intent is... look at the prototype dragonfly on the back of the box. it is low profile. the prototype dragonfly can take off and pitch forward without dragging the turret instantly. yet the production toy has this deep, drooping down nasty drum chin turret which forces near vertical take off without realistic pitch forward. Just my opinion. I understand they did this to fit Wild BIll's feet in there. I can fit him fine without doing that. his seat needs some refinement so he does not smash his face on the windshield.
