Several ancient Romano-British brooches emerged during archaeological digs at Edinburgh Castle between 1988 and 1991. Dubbed a dragonesque brooch, this artifact closely resembles examples discovered in southern England dating from 50 AD to 150 AD. These finds collectively provide strong evidence that the inhabitants of this site maintained connections and were impacted by advancements in more Romanized areas of Britain.
