Skarabokh are a family of gigantic beetles native to the western regions of Tyveria, the Primalian mountains and the eastern woods of Nahuac. They are thick-shelled, chitinous insects whose main drive is to feed on the rotting things of Valerna, particularly in humid environments, but they are known to travel in arid areas. They resemble rhinoceros beetles, except for their size.In nature, skarabokh have two different behaviors. These remain in their domesticated peers. During drier seasons, the beetles move slowly through their home domains, conserving energy while they feed on anything they can find. Their meals of choice are rotting wood, rotting fruit and dead creatures, but it can also contain living flesh. Despite their slow motions, though, koheram are known for their terrible tempers. Any kind of intrusion on their territory or the slightest threat turns them into incredibly violent beasts. It is no surprise, then, that Tyveria has added some of them to their army.During mating season, when humidity spikes and things rot more commonly, skarabokh leave behind all peaceful behaviors and attack anything on sight, except for possible mates.
