Maghyr sorcerers are the rulers of the Tyverian Empire, the mightiest nation in the world - which makes them the mightiest people of Valerna. An ancestral caste of Blood Sorcerers who live on the blood of living creatures, maghyri are theoretically immortal, although they may be killed normally - often at the hands of other maghyri. Madranna is niece to Emperor Azrael id Tyveriannes and a strong contender for heir of the throne.
