Since the No-Eyed Dragon Version 1 has become incredibly popular, I've decided to rework the model after some time and significantly reduce its massive poly count of ~2.6 million polys down to a more manageable ~50k. This updated model features custom textures that are specifically designed to give it a unique look. Additionally, I have optimized the model for faster rendering by applying UV mapping and making it easier to work with different file formats. Everything is neatly packaged in a zip archive for your convenience. Although I didn't modify the actual model, I significantly reduced its overall poly count through a process called decimation. As before, this updated model was created using 3D-Coat, while the textures were made in Substance Painter 2. I've ensured that texturing wasn't too time-consuming, making it easy for anyone to work with. After considering releasing this update as an upgrade to the original No-Eyed Dragon, I decided to create a new, separate model instead. This was because the updated model is significantly more efficient and can be easily handled by regular computers. On my cgtrader account, you can download the high-poly version of the No-Eyed Dragon for free if you prefer that one. I've also included all original textures from Version 1 in this update so that your remastered dragon can still look exactly like its high-poly counterpart. The last six preview images showcase the textures and help you plan ahead with the design. Please note that the model is not rigged or animated, but it's perfectly suitable for games, simulations, and any other project where low poly count matters. This updated model is now ready to use in all types of software without slowing down your computer.
