Dragon statue

My entry to #rcdragons challenge. Dragon is situated in Ronov nad Sázavou and it's a fabricated image of a dragon that frequently appears in Czech fairy tales and legends. The statue stands approximately 5m tall but was completely scanned from the ground, without using aerial equipment. The name on the stone he’s holding (Apoly) actually belongs to the nearby company, so his purpose is probably just to display this advertisement banner. A little disappointing for such a majestic creature. Technical data about scanning process: Number of photos taken: 602 Used equipment: Sony A7R + tripod (but some of the photos were captured manually) Approximate scanning time: 1h 30m Processing time: 12h 08m (processed on a portable computer) Number of polygons in raw mesh: 195M (processed in normal detail, wouldn't have made it in time with high detail settings)
