Our dual nature is mirrored in the light, which exhibits both wave and particle properties. This unique blend of characteristics makes it willing to achieve a balance between subtlety and toughness, while appearing fragile due to its 1 mm wall thickness. However, its structural pattern provides surprising strength, eliminating the need for support material and minimizing material usage. The wooden filament is a combination of PLA and PHA, a biodegradable polymer produced through bacterial fermentation, blended with 30% fine pinewood fibers. This mixture perfectly balances strength, elongation, and transparency, making it ideal for light shades that boast an appearance like nothing else and emit a woodshop scent. We aim to make sure that 3D printed details are welcome in both home and work environments, where they're meant to stay. After all, we've become dependent on light, which would leave us with long, sad nights without it, but we often forget its value and waste it. Light is more than just a lamp; it's a way to illuminate our consciousness. Straight from the printer, parts resemble laser-sintered material with a matte finish. With some sanding and polishing, copper particles begin to shine and shimmer like never before. The weight of this material is remarkable, approximately three times that of regular PLA/PHA.
