The kingdoms came together to fight the dragon that lurked their people and that had caused them great harm. The hunt lasted for days, a grueling feat without a break for either side. When they got to the desert they ambushed the dragon after damaging his wings so he couldn't fly away. The badly wounded dragon ran clumsily, filled by exhaustion, spitting uncoordinated fire from his mouth. The armies took him to a trap, and as he fell into it, he was mortally wounded by the weapons inside it and the only thing that remained above the sand was his mouth, open for a final attack. With his last breath he created a portal within his mouth, and since then the kingdoms have feared for what could come out of there.
