Dragon Head Mount for Raspberry Pi Camera
thingiverse
This head was crafted as part of a pioneering robotics project that's still underway. I'm releasing it separately for others to utilize and enjoy. Plus, showcasing its impressive features is a delightful experience! The eyes are designed to house LEDs behind them, creating an eerie glow effect. Three M5 holes at the base facilitate attaching a mount, while four M2 holes inside enable camera placement. The teeth may obscure some of the camera's view, but this limitation isn't significant as evident from the accompanying gallery images. Here are the step-by-step instructions to replicate this unique head: 1. LEDs are mounted atop the head and secured with strong adhesive. 2. These dual LEDs share a 50-ohm resistor and are connected in parallel between the Pi's ground pin and its 3-volt power source. 3. To assemble different sections, M2 shafts are employed as precision connectors. 4. With the exception of the expressive eyes, the exterior was painstakingly painted with Humbrol primer layers and vibrant enamel finishes. The pupils on each eye were carefully applied once varnish had been applied.
