Dragon Fruit (Pitaya)

My entry for 3D Scanning Challenge: Horn of Plenty / #3DScanFruitVeg. All objects are combined into one intricate scene. iPhone 6S Plus, preprocessed in DxO and Photoshop, Processed in RealityCapture, final mesh reduced to a lower resolution while high-resolution details were baked onto a low-poly map as a normal map. Small errors from the raw scan were barely touched up in 3DCoat. Dragon Fruit: These fruits are commonly known in English as "dragon fruit", reflecting their widely recognized Asian names. The pitaya flesh has a mild taste, often commented on for its stark contrast to the vibrant exterior. The taste has been described as very bland... like a melon or kiwi fruit, with a mild sweetness that lingers.
