Dragon Fan Fang

Dragon Fan Fang

I was in need of a part cooling fan holder for my printer, but none had what I needed, so I came up with this design. It uses a 60mm part cooling fan; I chose this one because I already had it on hand. Next, I wanted to utilize the 40mm fan on my E3DV6 instead of the 30mm that came stock. As I delved deeper into the design process, I decided to enclose the 40mm fan. This is a high-poly model, and I don't plan on creating a low-poly version - feel free to remix it as you see fit, and please show off what you make. I included support structures in V3, but V2 does not have built-in supports. This design is a remix of the Fan Fang and Skyrim Dragon Skull models; I used only the ductwork from the Fan Fang and smoothed out the skull significantly. Additionally, I incorporated a 40mm fan duct found on this platform for the E3D duct. This model may require some minor touch-ups, but it should function well as is. It utilizes a 40 X 10mm cooler fan, and any part cooling fan with a 60mm base will work. Update: On July 25, 2016, I noticed that there were two bumps protruding from the bottom of the model, preventing it from laying flat. I corrected this issue and uploaded new files to replace the old ones.
