Dragon (Deathwing)
thingiverse
I made a custom Deathwing model for my friend, and I used superglue to assemble the parts. You can use any adhesive you prefer. BE CAREFUL IF YOU PRINT WITH RAFTS, THOUGH - some of the tiny pieces might break if you try to separate them from the raft by hand (try using an exacto knife or pliers instead). To adjust the dragon's length from jaw tip to tail end, follow these steps: measure in mm how long you want your dragon to be; go to wolframalpha.com and plug in x/y = 6728.49/24145.33 (replace y with your desired length); copy the resulting x value; open the STL file labeled "Right Main Body" in cura; paste the x value into the "Size X" field under scale on the bottom left; look at the "Scale X" above that, and use this scale for all the included STL files. I scaled mine to 1.313 to get an 8-inch finished product. If you have questions, leave a comment below. The whole thing cost about $8 to print and turned out awesome! I'll add some pictures soon. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Prusa i3 Resolution: 0.1 Infill Density: 15% Notes: supports are needed for some pieces but not all, and smaller parts require rafts to prevent movement during print.
