Zenō is the supreme ruler of all universes, ranking above all other mortals and deities in the Dragon Ball canon. Depicted as a childlike humanoid figure, Zenō possesses the power to erase entire universes from existence at his will. First appearing after the tournament between Universes 6 and 7, Zenō is treated with utmost reverence and fear by the other gods and mortals, with one notable exception being Goku, whom he befriends. Part of the caution others exercise around Zenō stems from the fact that he acts and behaves like a child, destroying entire planets and universes out of amusement or dismay. An instance of Zenō from an alternate timeline called Future Zenō accompanies Goku back to the present after he erases the entire existence where he lived to destroy Zamasu, becoming a friend of his counterpart. Zenō is the supreme deity in charge of all 12 universes, revered by Beerus as the highest god, and acknowledged by Vados as having no peer. Shin also states that anyone cannot defeat Zenō. Zenō's appearance and speech patterns resemble those of a child, with his words often ending in "no." He never engages in battle but possesses the abilities "Contract" and "Disqualification". Despite being pure and innocent, he harbors terror beneath the surface, capable of deciding any outcome with a single word and rendering all energy and matter ineffective. In the past, 18 universes existed, but six were instantly destroyed after angering Zenō, leaving only 12. Later, Zenō befriends Goku, who directly addresses him as "Azeno" (Zen-chan). He has two personal attendants.
