Zenō is renowned as the supreme ruler of all universes within the Dragon Ball canon, surpassing every other mortal and deity in power. Depicted as an endearing yet youthful humanoid figure, Zenō possesses the authority to eradicate entire universes from existence at will. Initially introduced after the tournament between Universes 6 and 7, Zenō is revered with utmost deference and trepidation by both gods and mortals, with a notable exception being Goku, whom he befriends. A significant portion of the caution others exercise around Zenō stems from his propensity to behave like a child, annihilating entire planets and universes due to amusement or dismay. An alternate timeline version of Zenō, known as Future Zenō, accompanies Goku back to the present after erasing an entire existence where he lived in order to destroy Zamasu, ultimately forging a lasting bond with his counterpart.
