Dragon 32 Analog Joystick
thingiverse
This thing follows on from my Analog to digital joystick adapter for the Dragon 32. Playing some retro games on my Dragon 32 with my 8 year old son (and beating him every time) his excuse was that the joystick he used was the problem as he was used to thumbstick controllers seen on most modern consoles nowadays. I had a think about it and after a bit of research, I soon knocked up a working joystick without any housing using spare parts I have lying around in my geek room. I got to work and designed the housing for the electronics but faced a few problems when printing with my SLA printer... images to follow In the end, I have designed four different top parts for the joystick 1 with a raised logo which I could multi filament print with using my Prusa I3 Mk2.5 2 with a 0.5mm extruded cut logo which I planned to use with my Anycubic Photon SLA printer 3 with a 0.4mm extruded cut so that I could print a sticky label, laminate it and stick on the top 4 without any logos or information at all should you want to use the joystick for other retro systems. The bottom part fits all top and I will include all five STL's . I had a lot of fun designing and building this and I hope that my 8 year old appreciates the effort ;)
