Drag Lever for Concept 2 Model B Rowing Machine
thingiverse
I've brought my trusty old Model B out of retirement, upgrading it with a PM5 monitor and RowPro software, and embarked on a journey to get back in shape. I added extra cowling to bring the drag coefficient in line with newer models, designing an attachment that lets me easily adjust the vent's position from the seat. Also, check out my scale model B at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1449048. Here are the instructions: My green prototype and black final version, printed with four shells, 50% infill, and slightly raised temperature for added strength, hang side by side. Drill two holes in the disc to secure it - you can see what I did there. Attach the lever to the mount first, using the top bolt before adding the rest. Getting those nuts on can be a bit tricky; you'll need to flex the disc and slip your finger behind to hold the nut in place. Make sure to trim the bolts flush with the nut so they don't interfere with the cage; I used nylon bolts, sliced them off, and added a few spots of brown gorilla glue to eliminate any play.
