Drag Chain, Openable, Configurable
thingiverse
The ideal drag chain should be effortless to assemble, effortlessly openable, and easily configurable, while snapping together seamlessly without metal pins. Frustrated with not finding one that met all these requirements, I invested a considerable amount of time designing my own. This custom design consists of just three components: the main body, the cap, and a versatile mounting piece that serves as both a mount and an end piece. The absence of metal pins is a deliberate design choice. Print this design using PETG or ABS, as PLA may prove too brittle for unsupported chains. The model is fully parametric, allowing you to modify the width or height as needed. To make these adjustments, simply update the values in the "Parameters" table – making changes elsewhere can irreparably break the model. Fusion360 files are included for your convenience.
