Drag Chain - Cable Chain - Ender 3

Drag Chain - Cable Chain - Ender 3

I wasn't thrilled with the drag chains I printed for my Ender 3 earlier, the hinges didn't feel great, and the print never looked right. So I decided to create my own version using different concepts. After several tests and prints, I finally achieved a design that looks nice and works smoother. I plan to make more for other Ender 3 parts too. If you're interested in making remixes for other axes, you can download the .SLDPRT (Solidworks file). I'm busy lately, but there are plenty of people who want to print these chain links for other axes. You can make it happen! So if you're into this, please create a remix and share it! For other axes, check out this awesome design made by @Tobi0892 on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4316238 The hot end part is supposed to snap in place, and the distance between axes is 40mm. If yours isn't like that, check out this remix made by @robschwieb: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4176101 If your Ender 3 comes with a screw holding the spring in the extruder, just print the file "support-2_remix_for_newer_extruder_spring_screw.STL." Thanks to @mikemyers0211 for warning me about this model. I used 14 links for my Ender 3, but yours might need more or fewer links – that's up to you. Keep in mind that with this cable chain setting, you'll lose some Z-axis space. Update: I added a support file for the carriage wheel with 50mm distance. You can find it here: "support-1 - 50mm".
