drag chain 15mm x 30mm
thingiverse
Here is the dragged chain for CNC cable management. Current scale has been thoroughly tested and proven to work flawlessly. The internal space measures 15mm x 30mm, while the external dimensions are 40mm x 20mm. Each link is precisely crafted with a length of 41mm. Printer Settings The printer in use is a reliable Mendel i3 (Chinese), equipped with cutting-edge technology. Raft Settings No rafts are required for this print job. Supports A sturdy design allows for the elimination of any supports during printing. Infill A 20% infill rate ensures optimal structural integrity while maintaining minimal material usage. Notes Optimized print settings have been developed for seamless operation: Layer Height: 0.25mm Shell Thickness: 0.8mm Bottom/Top Thickness: 0.6mm Fill Density: 20% Print Speed: 50mm/s Print Temperature: 210C Bed Temperature: 45C Filament Material: PLA Support Type: None Platform Adhesion: None Filament Diameter: 1.75mm Flow Rate: 100.0% Nozzle Size: 0.4mm With these print settings, my machine completes the links in approximately 33 minutes per link. Since the ends were printed simultaneously, it took around 90 minutes to complete them. The links were all printed with the orientation depicted in the accompanying image. Post-Printing Operations Clean up and Sanding Carefully inspect the parts where they interlock for a smooth operation. Sand any edges if necessary to ensure effortless interaction between components. Design Methodology I created this design using SketchUp's latest version, exporting it using skp_to_dxf.rbz.
